Swimarathon

Once again we'll be holding another Swimarathon; a major town event for well over twenty years.  The fun all takes place on Sunday 2nd April 2023 at Ilfracombe Swimming Pool at hourly intervals starting at 10.00am, with the last swim at approximately 4.00pm.

The Swimarathon is a fantastic opportunity for to raise sponsorship money for your organisation, charity or chosen cause. We estimate that over the years we have helped raise £60,000 for local charities and people in need. Teams and individuals are free to organise their own sponsorship and have the option of donating 50% of the money to their chosen cause; with the remaining 50% going to the Lions club for their charitable funds and the cost of the event.

Taking part could not be simpler. Teams of 4-6 persons swim in replay for 55 minutes and each team should include an adult non-swimming Captain. For organisational purposes there are four categories. But remember the Swimarathon is not a race.
