This month we've had a more interesting requests for help. And its true, there really "isn't any harm in asking..."
Because this month we've helped out our chums in The Men's Shed with a contribution towards repair and maintenance of benches in the harbour. Purchased a new banner for our amazing Coast Guards; provided some extra funds for those tuneful souls that organise music for our Town Bandstand and purchased a fridge-freezer for one of our struggling families.
And of course (along with all the Lions Clubs worldwide) we donated to the current earthquake appeal.
Finally, next month is the Swimarathon. A sponsored swim for teams of about six swimming in lanes for about 50 minutes at Ilfracombe Swimming Pool. There are a few lanes available so you've still got time the get your team together and raise some money for your cause and Ilfracombe Lions. Get in contact with us if you are interested.
