Getting into the spirit of Christmas

Writer: Kit LeckKit Leck

Ilfracombe and District Lions Club will be out and about during the Christmas season. Starting with the ever-popular Combe Christmas for the High Street late-night shopping and lantern parade from 6.30pm Friday 25th November. This much loved event heralds the beginning of the Christmas season, and the Lions will be featuring our family favourite "Dip for a Lion" and our new "Mane Game".

And if that's not enough you will also be able to catch us at the switch-on of Aarons Christmas Lights Spectacular. Aaron will be flipping the swich at 6.00pm Thursday 1st December. A big thanks to Aaron for agreeing to donate all the money raised to the Lions. Once again, we've been chosen because he knows that all the money raised will go directly to help people most in need and other local good causes.

We're really looking forward to seeing you around during what promises to be a magical Christmas. But we realise that this will not be the case for many families. That's why the Lions would like to hear from caring organisations or maybe caring neighbours. Maybe the Lions could provide a bit of extra help. It never harms to ask.
